Albert Payson Terhune, renowned for his beloved book Lad, a Dog, also made his mark as a collie breeder and journalist. In His Dog, we meet Link Ferris, who discovers an injured collie on his way home one evening. Unable to find the dogs original owner, Link names him Chum, who becomes an essential companion on his humble farm.
