1 Reyes 10: Un regalo perfecto para un Rey.

1 Reyes 10:4‭-‬13 RVA2015: (por favor leer los versos en su biblia.)

Vs.10-13 Entonces ella dio al rey cuatro mil kilos de oro, una gran cantidad de especias aromáticas y piedras preciosas. Nunca llegó una cantidad tan grande de especias aromáticas como la que la reina de Saba dio al rey Salomón. También la flota de Hiram, que traía oro de Ofir, trajo de Ofir gran cantidad de madera de sándalo y piedras preciosas. Y el rey hizo con la madera de sándalo pilares para la casa del SEÑOR y para la casa del rey, además de arpas y liras para los músicos. Nunca llegó semejante madera de sándalo ni se ha visto hasta el día de hoy. El rey Salomón dio a la reina de Saba todo lo que ella quiso pedirle, además de lo que le dio conforme a la generosidad real de Salomón. Entonces ella se volvió y regresó a su tierra, con sus servidores.

La reina de Saba viajó desde lejos con el propósito de ver con sus propios ojos la grandeza y la sabiduría de Salomón. Estaba sorprendida por la forma que Salomón gobernaba, desde la organización de los miembros de la corte real, sus ministros y servidores, los diseños arquitectónicos y artísticos, y hasta la forma en que se adoraba al Dios de Israel. El orden sacerdotal, del ofrecimiento de las ofrendas, y el templo majestuoso que Salomón construyó.
Además, ella escuchaba la forma en que Salomón impartía justicia entre el pueblo y cuando ella le hacía preguntas difíciles, Salomón conocía ya la respuesta. ¡Lo que ella había escuchado por medio de otras personas acerca de Salomón no se comparaba con lo que estaba viendo y escuchando personalmente!
Es por esto que uno podría pensar: ¿Qué le puedo ofrecer a este rey que lo tiene todo, que demostró saberlo todo? ¿Podría darle algo significativo?
La Escritura nos muestra que ella, además de llevarle cosas que Salomón ya tenía como oro, piedras preciosas y muchas cosas más, también le trajo muchas especies aromáticas de su tierra y una madera especial que también era aromática.
Aunque Salomón podía obtener estas cosas con dinero, lo que le impresionó fue la cantidad con la que ella se presentó ante él y se lo dio como regalo. Esas especies inundaban el palacio de Salomón con su aroma. La madera aromática se usó para la casa de Dios y la casa de Salomón, adornando y perfumando el ambiente. Este regalo fue muy efectivo, pues cada vez que el aroma de las especias y la madera fuera percibido por Salomón, él siempre la iba a recordar.
¡Hoy podemos hacer lo mismo con nuestro gran Rey de gloria! Convirtamos nuestras vidas como perfume agradable en Su presencia como dice Hebreos 13:15: “Así que, ofrezcamos siempre a Dios, por medio de él, sacrificio de alabanza, es decir, fruto de labios que confiesan su nombre.”

Seamos adoradores que llenen el trono de Dios con el perfume agradable que son nuestros cánticos llenos de palabras de alabanza y adoración, que con nuestra forma de vivir honremos el nombre de Dios y el Señor reciba nuestro testimonio como perfume agradable. Que nuestra familia sea como las especies aromáticas, las columnas de madera de sándalo que permanecen firmes en la presencia santa del Señor continuamente. ¡De esa manera el Señor escuchará nuestras oraciones y seremos un instrumento importante en Sus manos, así como Salomón le concedió todo lo que la reina de Saba le pidió y le dio en abundancia, más de lo que ella le había pedido!
Recordemos el consejo del apóstol Pablo en Efesios 3:20: “Y a aquel que es poderoso para hacer todas las cosas mucho más abundantemente de lo que pedimos o pensamos, según el poder que actúa en nosotros,...”

¿Estamos alegrando a Dios con nuestro estilo de vida? ¿Está Dios recibiendo nuestra adoración como algo agradable? ¿Estoy siendo un ejemplo de un verdadero adorador para los miembros de mi hogar?

1 Kings 10: A perfect gift for a King.

1 Kings 10:4‭-‬13:
And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built, the food on his table, the seating of his servants, the service of his waiters and their apparel, his cupbearers, and his entryway by which he went up to the house of the Lord, there was no more spirit in her. Then she said to the king: “It was a true report which I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom. However I did not believe the words until I came and saw with my own eyes; and indeed the half was not told me. Your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame of which I heard. Happy are your men and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom! Blessed be the Lord your God, who delighted in you, setting you on the throne of Israel! Because the Lord has loved Israel forever, therefore He made you king, to do justice and righteousness.” Then she gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold, spices in great quantity, and precious stones. There never again came such abundance of spices as the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon. Also, the ships of Hiram, which brought gold from Ophir, brought great quantities of almug wood and precious stones from Ophir. And the king made steps of the almug wood for the house of the Lord and for the king’s house, also harps and stringed instruments for singers. There never again came such almug wood, nor has the like been seen to this day. Now King Solomon gave the queen of Sheba all she desired, whatever she asked, besides what Solomon had given her according to the royal generosity. So she turned and went to her own country, she and her servants.

The queen of Sheba traveled from afar with the purpose of seeing with her own eyes the greatness and wisdom of Solomon. She was amazed by the way Solomon ruled, from the organization of the members of the royal court, his ministers and servants, the architectural and artistic designs, and even the way the God of Israel was worshiped. The priestly order, the offering of offerings, and the majestic temple that Solomon built.
In addition, she listened to the way in which Solomon dispensed justice among the people and when she asked him difficult questions, Solomon already knew the answer. What she had heard from other people about Solomon did not compare to what she was seeing and hearing personally!
This is why one might think: what can I offer to this king who has everything, who has shown that he knows everything? Could I give him something meaningful?
The Scripture shows us that, in addition to bringing him things that Solomon already had such as gold, precious stones and many other things, she also brought him many aromatic species from her land and a special wood that was also aromatic.
Although Solomon could obtain these things with money, what impressed him was the amount with which she came before him and gave it to him as a gift. Those species flooded Solomon's palace with their aroma. The aromatic wood was used for the house of God and the house of Solomon, adorning and perfuming the environment. This gift was very effective, because every time the aroma of spices and wood was perceived by Solomon, he would always remember her.
Today we can do the same with our great King of glory! Let us convert our lives as a pleasant perfume in His presence as Hebrews 13:15 says: “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”

Let us be worshipers who fill the throne of God with the pleasant perfume that are our songs full of words of praise and adoration, that with our way of living we honor the name of God and the Lord receive our testimony as a pleasant perfume. May our family be like the aromatic spices, the sandalwood columns that stand firm in the holy presence of the Lord continually. In this way, the Lord will hear our prayers and we will be an important instrument in His hands, just as Solomon granted the queen of Sheba everything she asked for and gave her in abundance, more than what she had asked for!
Let us remember the advice of the apostle Paul in Ephesians 3:20: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,...”

Are we making God happy with our lifestyle? Is God receiving our worship as something nice? Am I being an example of a true worshiper to my household members?
