In 1968 USA athlete Madeline Manning-Mimms won the 800 metres Olympic crown at the Mexico City Games. She was just 20. To achieve her goal she had to overcome widespread racism, including from a coach on the USA team. In this interview, recorded with Passion for Sport's Solomon Izang Ashoms at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens Madeline talks about her experiences at the Olympics in Mexico City and Munich in 1972 and how she was able to find forgiveness for those who racially abused her.
