EPISODE SUMMARY
Welcome to the FAKTR Podcast where we feature a series of short courses you can take with you on your morning commute, while you’re at the gym, or whenever you feel like tuning in. Each episode’s structure is an educational course offering, so links to download the presentation notes are always here in the show description.
In today’s episode, we are featuring a brand new training on Adhering to Evidence Based Guidelines in Treating Peripheral Nerve Entrapments.
Many of you may know that we launched a new course in December of 2019 called FAKTR Peripheral Nerve Entrapments or FAKTR PNE for short.
Just three short months later; COVID-19 hit hard in the US and we made the decision to transition the FAKTR pne course to a self-paced online 8hr course. Today’s format is a bit different than a typical episode. First, we feature an interview Dr. Todd Riddle, our Director of Education had with FAKTR PNE course creators, Drs. Mike Olson and Spencer Lindholm and then transition into a training on the adhering evidence-based guidelines when assessing and treating peripheral nerve entrapments.
Topics discussed on today’s episode include defining PNE—what it is and how these entrapments occur, common patient presentations, and the evidence-based medicine “triad.”
If you’re confused about what peripheral nerve entrapments ARE, you’re in the right place—if you’re in clinical practice, you might encounter them all of the time and not realize it. If you are a pro at treating PNE, then you’re sure to enjoy this discussion…I’m sure you’ll pick up some clinical pearls along the way.
