Is there a piece of work you can get out now before Xmas or the New Year?
How do you overcome what’s stopping you?
This podcast is about some questions to ask yourself to get your art ‘shipped’ aka Seth Godin to get your work , your ‘art’ out of the door.. so to get yourself finishing and shipping some of your creative work out to the world. Ideally in the next 3 weeks.
I have decided to release my book on how to ‘Get Your Art In Gear’ out the door before Christmas 2020 – 2 plus weeks away. This podcast goes through the questions I have asked myself . The book is written, its just needs a few tweaks and an extra 8 chapters written on financing your work and life as a creative, the artwork is done but I have not got it out the door finding other things to focus on. However I have decided to get it ‘shipped’ so available for the world to buy before Xmas. Getting it shipped basically.
1.What is a project you can get out the door in the next 2 or 3 weeks?
2.If not a whole project, is there a sliver of it, so not a whole album but just one song…if not a film then a cartoon or a trailer of ideas?
3.Why ? Why are you doing this? What do you get from it beyond self satisfaction,? What does this work say about you or the world, what makes it important?
4.Also by allowing this work out into the world, what does it give the world? How does it impact people ? A new perspective, an alternative voice or viewpoint
5.You can even ask yourself who is this work for?
6.Marketing how will I market it? How can your network support you?
7.Is it finished? What stage is it at and can you get it edited in time? Or do you need to take a short section or do in a different format for this piece
8.Is it in a place where you can edit so do you need an external eye to help edit, so get that moving now so you get some of your ideas out in the world asap. But don’t wait for others permission.
9.What is the action step you can take today?
10.Put a price on it, don’t just give it away for free. You need to earn a living from your art so you start by charging a fair price for you and your audience.
11.Decide and do, pick one thing – one song, one book, one chapter, one cartoon, one drawing and get it done and out the door into the world. Get on with it, ship it!

Aims of this podcast - Love Your Creativity & Make Money
This podcast is about being a working creative from thoughts on marketing, budget to what techniques we can all use to get the work done and out there, no matter where you work full time as an actor, a choreographer or have a yearning to paint more over the weekends.
About me, Marysia Trembecka
I am at heart a storyteller and this has translated from the initial creation of work to being a performer, including film and theatre acting, writing and performing international touring comedy shows to MCing.
Highlights include sell-out Adelaide and Edinburgh Fringe shows, singing at the Royal Festival Hall in 23 different languages, as well as doing TEDx talks and corporate gigs, such as the Brit Awards Afterparty at the 02 as my ‘The Singing Psychic’ bio queen character.
My ‘THE SINGING PSYCHIC’ who ‘reads the songs in your heart’ also has a GAME SHOW version, and was a finalist in Best Show, Funny Women in 2016, and I have toured internationally since then.
I have also produced five webseries as the character including my 23 episode SONGS OF BREXIT webseries I made for the June 2016 EU Referendum, on the pros and cons of the EU, I started the web series singing The Clash’s ‘Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now’. It was very well received due to the blend of education and entertainment, and I ended up on London Live and even a BBC2 Live Debate on the National Living Wage amongst other press of the back of that.
I also was awarded Arts Council funding for research on a solo show on how we are all judged by our sexuality, so as part of that, I interviewed people on the cutting edge of sexual politics. From this I then created another character ‘Queen Of The F*cking World’ which has also toured internationally from Glasgow WOFF film festival in the female perspective strand to sell-out London, Edinburgh and Adelaide runs. I sing and play the bass guitar and guitar in this show.
My film acting credits can be found on IMDB and indeed my projects are on my media gallery http://marysiatrembecka.com/media-gallery/
