Welcome back to The Other Side with a fantastically mushy topic this week! We go deep into the inner machinations and beauty that is of fungi. Fungus, as you all know is that moldy, fuzzy stuff that grows on your old veggies and on athletes’ feet. But fungi (plural for fungus), comes in many shapes, colors, and sizes. It’s most famously recognized as the Mushroom. Those beautiful, gilly, toadstools that beg us all to marvel at it’s mushy beauty on a tree stump or just sitting in the backyard. Mushrooms go as far back as the dawn of humanity. Some might even say, mushrooms, were the cause - for - humanity. With its ties into celestial and otherworldly influences on the early people who journeyed to the gods and higher self. From folklore and fairies to food and mycophiles, fungi has always been at the center of all our lives. We share a substantial amount of body makeup with them, after all. Join us this week as we venture into what’s what with this mysterious phenomena we know and love, as mushrooms.
