Una delle più belle sorprese durante le mie vacanze, sì sono tornata a casa dalle vacanze, una delle più belle sorprese è stato scoprire il festival Isole che Parlano. Non seguo il mondo musicale, non l'ho mai seguito e quindi non sono al corrente dei vari festival italiani, nemmeno sardi, però mi sono ritrovata nella zona di Palau proprio nei giorni in cui c'era questo festival, il festival Isole che Parlano, e questa era la venticinquesima edizione. Cominciamo subito dalla locandina del festival che, anche se non avessi saputo di cosa si trattava, sarei comunque andata a curiosare, perché la locandina è una vecchia cabina telefonica rotta, in mezzo a un campo, con tutta l'erba che gli cresce attorno, ed è un'immagine bellissima, un'immagine piena di suggestioni, significati, quindi anche senza sapere niente del festival, mi sarei incuriosita, poi sono capitata a vedere, ho visto tre concerti, di più non ho potuto organizzare, e i concerti, gratuiti - tra l'altro - penso che siano tutti gratuiti, quelli che ho visto io lo erano, uno era davanti alla Tomba dei Giganti, un duo per violino, voce elettronica, e violoncello si chiamava Shakti Duo di Eloisa Manera e Daniela Savoldi. Poi visto il fantastico concerto di Gavino Murgia - sax soprano, basso gutturale e altre cose che fa lui con la voce, anche questo era a La Maddalena in località Punta Tegge, Un Concerto al Tramonto, e poi ieri ho visto, forse quello più bello per quanto riguarda il luogo in cui l'ho visto perché era, sempre al tramonto, a Cala Corsara, sull'isola di Spargi. Qui si è pagato un biglietto il biglietto però era il costo di prendere la barca che portava dal La Maddalena a quest'altra isoletta che si chiama appunto Spargi (un'altra cosa che ho scoperto è fantastica!) e qui suonavano Redi Hasa, con il 'violoncello rubato', da qui il nome "The Stolen Cello" e poi alla fisarmonica c'era Rocco Nigro. Senza fiato, veramente senza fiato. Immaginatevi un piccolo, ristretto gruppo di persone, che sembrava di essere in chiesa, non volava una mosca, si sentiva il rumore della risacca del mare, il vento, queste persone, questi musicisti incredibili. E mi sono chiesta, ma a concerti così ne fanno nella mia città, a Cagliari? Com'è che a Cagliari (fatemi usare una parola inglese) le locations, sono sempre più banali... non sempre, comunque è difficile trovare locations come queste. E poi il pubblico, un pubblico fantastico, un pubblico che non fiatava, sembrava di essere in chiesa. Insomma, mi sono innamorata di questo festival, grandi Paolo e Nanni Angeli che continuano ad organizzarlo, e il prossimo anno andrò a Palau proprio per vedere il festival.

One of the most beautiful surprises during my holidays (yes I am home from my vacation), one of the most beautiful surprises was discovering the "Isole che Parlano" (talking island) festival. I do not follow the musical world, I have never followed it and therefore I am not aware of the various Italian festivals, nor about the Sardinian ones, but I found myself in the Palau area just in the days when there was this festival, the Isole che Parlano , and this was their twenty-fifth edition. Let's start immediately with the flyer for the festival which, even if I hadn't known what it was about, I would have gone to have a look because the flyer is an old, broken telephone booth, in the middle of a field, with tall grass growing around it, and it is a beautiful image, an image full of suggestions, meanings, so even without knowing anything about the festival, I would have been curious. Well I ended up seeing three concerts, I could not accommodate more, and the concerts, free - by the way - I think they are all free, the ones I saw were, one was in front of the Giants' Grave, a duo for violin, electronic voice, and cello was called Shakti Duo composed by Eloisa Manera and Daniela Savoldi. Then I saw the fantastic concert by Gavino Murgia - soprano saxophone, guttural bass and other things he does with his voice, this too was in La Maddalena in Punta Tegge, "Concert at Sunset", and then yesterday I saw, perhaps the most beautiful one as far as location is concerned because it was, always at sunset, in Cala Corsara, on the island of Spargi. Here you paid for a ticket but it was the cost of taking the boat that took you from La Maddalena to this other island called Spargi (another thing I discovered, fantastic!) and here Redi Hasa played, with the 'stolen cello', hence the name "The Stolen Cello" accompanied by the accordion played by Rocco Nigro. Breathless, truly breathless. Imagine a small, restricted group of people, it felt like being in a church, not a fly was flying, you could hear the sound of the surf, the wind, these people, these incredible musicians. And I asked myself, but do they do concerts like this in my city, in Cagliari? How is it that in Cagliari (let me use an English word) the 'locations' are more banal ... well, not always, however it is difficult to find locations like these. And then the audience, a fantastic audience, an audience in religious silence, like in a church. In short, I fell in love with this festival, good on you Paolo and Nanni Angeli who continue to organize it, and next year I will go to Palau just to see the festival, on purpose.
