History has a tendency to repeat itself. What we’re currently experiencing now with civil unrest in the Black Lives Matter movement echoes throughout history. For Generation X, and to a lesser extent the Baby Boomer generation, there was a revolution taking place before their very eyes. Men like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., James Baldwin and Malcolm X were pioneers for civil rights for the black community. The latter, in Malcolm X, had his life grace the big screen in 1992 – thanks to director, Spike Lee, and a transformative performance from Denzel Washington. In this episode of Victims and Villains, we are sitting down with Emmanuel Noisette, of E-Man’s Movie Reviews (https://bit.ly/304guest), to discuss colorism, history, the nation of Islam and much more!
