There’s Daisy Nelson Moore, who fought for school integration before Brown v Board of Education. There’s John Anthony Copeland Jr & Lewis Sheridan Leary, one the uncle of the other, who fought in the infamous John Brown’s Harpers Ferry Raid. And finally there is George Washington Bush, who was the first permanent settler in Washington.
