Nick van der Kolk is the creator of the podcast Love + Radio.
Love + Radio has been produced since 2005, making it the longest running narrative podcast in history. In 2011, it became the first podcast to win the top prize at the Third Coast Festival Competition, and would go on to win three more Third Coast Festival awards.
The Love + Radio episode “The Living Room” was the basis for the Academy Award-winning short “The Neighbor’s Window” in 2020.
Nick is also the creator of The Secrets Hotline, a podcast in which anonymous callers from across the globe to share what is hidden in their lives.
He is based in Leitrim, Ireland.

Stories of Sound is an audio series that delves into sound arts and audio storytelling, offering listeners a window into the creative processes, challenges, and inspirations of artists, authors and theorists who tell stories through sound.
