You don't have to look far today to see the issues the semiconductor industry is facing, long lead times and supply chain challenges meaning that many of the end products which rely on semi conductors such as cars and consumer electronics have struggled with irregular production. Components worth a relatively small amount sometimes less than $1 but essential to the operation of the product stopping production and supply.

Alastair has almost 40 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, having held senior roles at Analog Devices, Linear Technology, Maxim and more.
