El: Το χωριό του βουνού ήταν γεμάτο ζωή εκείνο το καλοκαιρινό πρωινό.
En: The mountain village was full of life that summer morning.

El: Τα στενά λιθόστρωτα δρομάκια ήταν γεμάτα καταπράσινους κήπους και λουλούδια που γέμιζαν κάθε παράθυρο.
En: The narrow cobblestone streets were lined with lush gardens and flowers that adorned every window.

El: Στην πλατεία, γέλια και συζητήσεις ακουγόντουσαν παντού.
En: In the square, laughter and conversations could be heard everywhere.

El: Ήταν η μέρα του Αγίου Ιωάννη, και όλοι ετοιμάζονταν για τη γιορτή.
En: It was the Day of Saint John, and everyone was preparing for the celebration.

En: One afternoon, as Nikos was sitting in his garden, Andreas came over smiling.

El: «Νίκο, θα κάνουμε κάτι ξεχωριστό για τον Άγιο Ιωάννη φέτος!» είπε ο Ανδρέας.
En: "Nikos, we're going to do something special for Saint John this year!" said Andreas.

El: Ο Νίκος σκέφτηκε ότι κάτι περίεργο συνέβαινε.
En: Nikos thought that something strange was happening.

El: Ήταν σαν να υπήρχε κάποιο μυστικό στον αέρα.
En: It was as if there was a secret in the air.

El: «Τι εννοείς;» ρώτησε μπερδεμένα.
En: "What do you mean?" he asked, confused.

El: «Ω... τι να σου πω... απλά περίμενε!» είπε ο Ανδρέας, προσπαθώντας να μη μαρτυρήσει την έκπληξη.
En: "Oh... what can I tell you... just wait!" said Andreas, trying not to spoil the surprise.

El: Ο Νίκος άρχισε να ανησυχεί.
En: Nikos began to worry.

El: Κανείς δεν του έλεγε τίποτα συγκεκριμένο.
En: No one told him anything specific.

El: Ούτε η Ελένη, η οποία φαινόταν επίσης μυστηριώδης.
En: Not even Eleni, who also seemed mysterious.

El: Ο Νίκος δεν καταλάβαινε πια τίποτα.
En: Nikos understood nothing anymore.

El: Ένιωσε ότι όλοι τον απέφευγαν και δεν μπορούσε να καταλάβει γιατί.
En: He felt that everyone was avoiding him and couldn't understand why.

El: Αποφάσισε, λοιπόν, να πάει στην πλατεία και να το ξεκαθαρίσει.
En: So, he decided to go to the square and clear things up.

El: «Γιατί φέρεστε όλοι τόσο παράξενα;» φώναξε, μόλις έφτασε.
En: "Why are you all acting so weird?" he shouted as he arrived.

El: Ξαφνικά, όλοι οι χωριανοί πετάχτηκαν από τις γωνιές και φώναξαν: «Έκπληξη!»
En: Suddenly, all the villagers jumped out from the corners and shouted, "Surprise!"

El: Ο Νίκος έμεινε με ανοιχτό το στόμα.
En: Nikos was left with his mouth open.

El: Δεν ήξερε τι να πει.
En: He didn't know what to say.

El: Κατόπιν άρχισε να γελάει.
En: Then he started laughing.

El: Όλες αυτές οι περίεργες συμπεριφορές και τα μυστικά είχαν τελικά ένα σκοπό: να του κάνουν ένα αξέχαστο γενέθλιο πάρτι.
En: All these strange behaviors and secrets had a purpose: to throw him an unforgettable birthday party.

El: Η Ελένη αγκάλιασε τον Νίκο.
En: Eleni hugged Nikos.
