She talks about how her artworks are defined by the audience and their encounters with them, how architecture and art always engage each other in mutual exchanges, and what the architectural setting at ARoS does to Metronome.Sze also addresses how videos and our digital culture contribute to creating a sense of longing and desire, a state where we always want more. And she talks about how the idea behind Metronome as an image-making machine is to explore the human condition.
Metronome is an immersive, site-specific installation. The work by renowned American artist Sarah Sze is an interpretation of our fragile, digitalised world.
