show moreAndrea received her undergraduate, law, and M.S.Ed. degrees from the University of
Pennsylvania. She began her law career at Cravath, Swaine, and Moore and then held
Sr. VP positions at HBO and Time Inc. and was a managing partner in the NY office of
Quinn, Emanuel. When her son was diagnosed with autism, Andrea and her
husband joined with a group of other parents to help start a school in New York City.
Though the school was successful, it was not a good fit for her son, so after a 19-year
law career, Andrea left the practice of law to home school her son. After nearly eight
years of homeschooling, her son returned to school and Andrea knew that her
future was in education, not law. She returned to school as well and earned a
Masters degree in Education (M.S.Ed.) to enhance her ability to create an integrated
program of education and support for parents. She created Autism Parent Solutions
to streamline the process for parents to learn effective, practical strategies to
empower them to meet parenting challenges, increase confidence, reduce parenting
stress, and improve child and family outcomes. She also serves at the Board
Chairperson of the Cooke School and Institute in NYC.
