Description
The dungeon master himself, Zach Schottler, has to be the coolest, weirdest, and wildest guest I've ever had on the show and we are all the better for it. Zach's...
show moreZach's band, the monumentally awesome SKULL FIST, is a pure unrelenting rock and roll powerhouse and one of my favorite bands of the last 20 years.
We had a very tight interview schedule, so we didn't get in as much as I would have liked, but I still laughed my ass off. You will too.
This is Popsicle Pete, nay Zach Slaughter, nay... eh... this is the frontman of Skullfist. This is Zach Schottler on Rockstar Superhero.

The FIST is the law! SKULL FIST delivers more balls and ambition than is legally allowed. Since their steely inception back in 2006, dungeon keeper Zach Schottler and his shredding band of reckless companions have released three classic heavy metal almanacs, have eaten more dust than is good for their health, have endured various hardships and propped up countless beers at countless bars in countless cities. But now, after fifteen years of metal and mayhem, Schottler is coming into his own with the proverbially titled Paid In Full album, a heavy metal wonder of the defiant middle finger variant.
Paid In Full is heavy metal in all its splendor and gory glory, skillfully rocked with heads banging wild. We’re not sure but it sure sounds as if early Scorpions went into the studio with Iron Maiden and Helloween and just thundered on, amps on 11. The melodic and the heavy, the beauty and the beast ‐ it’s all there. The force is strong in this one. To Schottler, however, it’s business as usual. “I just wrote some more songs and when I had eight of them I called it an album,” he laughs, adding, “It’s less depressing than Way Of The Road; it's more of a Chasing The Dream tale."
Written at home and recorded at Vespa Studios near Toronto, Paid In Full encompasses Schottler’s sonic efforts of the past two years: tales of steel and legends from the underworld.
