This week’s Appalachia episode has great segments:   At the leadership table this week General Hoyer sat down with Bray Skinner, a West Virginian veteran of the U.S. Navy and a kayaking and nature enthusiast who has braved waterways all over the globe. Bryar and the General talk about what it means to be a veteran pursuing higher education at Fairmont State using the GI Bill and what the outdoors can teach all of us about leading and trusting others.

In the Department of Agriculture segment the department discusses the West Virginia Grown Program and how you can by West Virginia food products, including restaurants that have West Virginia ingredients in some of their menu items.

In the Health Segment Tom Susman talks with Chris Hall of the West Virginia EMS Coalition about the crisis facing emergency ambulance providers in the region. Many squads are stressed and some have even closed.

In the Community segment Bo Higby talks with a log home manufacturer. The company uses many types of lumber, and they are in Appalachia.
