If you have ever been camping you know what it is like to start a campfire with some dry grass and a few twigs. You shield the flickering flame from the wind and gently add more fuel as the fire grows. Paul writes, "For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control" (2 Tim. 1:6-7). Don't allow the flame of your spiritual gift flicker and die. Fan it into a strong blaze!
