Story Transcript:

El: Ο ήλιος έλαμπε πάνω από την Ακρόπολη της Αθήνας.
En: The sun was shining over the Acropolis of Athens.

El: Η Ελένα, ο Νίκος και η Σοφία περπατούσαν ανάμεσα στα αρχαία ερείπια.
En: Elena, Nikos, and Sofia were walking among the ancient ruins.

El: Ο Νίκος έδειξε προς τον Παρθενώνα.
En: Nikos pointed towards the Parthenon.

El: "Αυτός είναι ο Παρθενώνας," είπε.
En: "That is the Parthenon," he said.

El: "Ήταν ναός της Αθηνάς.
En: "It was a temple of Athena."

El: "Η Σοφία κοίταξε με θαυμασμό.
En: Sofia looked in admiration.

El: "Πόσο μεγάλος και όμορφος!
En: "How large and beautiful it is!"

El: " είπε.
En: she said.

El: "Ποιοι θρύλοι συνδέονται με τον Παρθενώνα;
En: "What legends are connected to the Parthenon?"

El: "Η Ελένα χαμογέλασε.
En: Elena smiled.

El: "Λένε ότι η Αθηνά δώρισε την ελιά στην πόλη της Αθήνας.
En: "They say that Athena gifted the olive tree to the city of Athens.

El: Γι' αυτό πήραν το όνομά της.
En: That's why the city was named after her."

El: "Συνέχισαν την βόλτα τους και έφτασαν στον Ερεχθείο.
En: They continued their walk and reached the Erechtheion.

El: "Εδώ στεκόταν το Ερεχθείο," είπε η Ελένα.
En: "Here stood the Erechtheion," said Elena.

El: "Έχει καρυάτιδες, αγάλματα γυναικών.
En: "It has Caryatids, statues of women."

El: "Ο Νίκος χαμογέλασε.
En: Nikos smiled.

El: "Οι καρυάτιδες είναι πανέμορφες.
En: "The Caryatids are beautiful.

El: Λένε ότι έφεραν την ίδια την Αθηνά εδώ για να προστατεύσει τη πόλη.
En: They say they brought Athena herself here to protect the city."

El: "Η Ελένα συμφώνησε.
En: Elena agreed.

El: "Ναι.
En: "Yes.

El: Κανείς δεν άγγιξε το δέντρο της ελιάς της Αθηνάς εδώ.
En: No one touched Athena's olive tree here.

El: Είναι σύμβολο ειρήνης.
En: It's a symbol of peace."

El: "Προχώρησαν προς το θέατρο του Διονύσου.
En: They moved towards the Theater of Dionysus.

El: "Το θέατρο είναι κάτω," είπε η Σοφία.
En: "The theater is down there," said Sofia.

El: "Εδώ είχαν θεατρικές παραστάσεις.
En: "They held theatrical performances here."

El: "Ο Νίκος χειροκρότησε.
En: Nikos clapped his hands.

El: "Ο Διόνυσος ήταν ο θεός του κρασιού και του θεάτρου.
En: "Dionysus was the god of wine and theater.

El: Εδώ γιόρταζαν τις γιορτές του.
En: They celebrated his festivals here."

El: "Η Ελένα κοίταξε τον ουρανό που γινόταν πορτοκαλί.
En: Elena looked at the sky, which was turning orange.

El: "Είναι απίστευτο πόσο πλούσιοι είναι οι μύθοι.
En: "It's incredible how rich the myths are."

El: "Η Σοφία συμφώνησε.
En: Sofia agreed.

El: "Κάθε πέτρα εδώ έχει ιστορία.
En: "Every stone here has a story.

El: Είναι σαν να περπατάμε με τους αρχαίους.
En: It's like we are walking with the ancients."

El: "Καθώς ο ήλιος έδυε, η Ελένα, ο Νίκος και η Σοφία καθυστέρησαν για λίγο, απολαμβάνοντας την όμορφη θέα από την Ακρόπολη.
En: As the sun set, Elena, Nikos, and Sofia lingered for a while, enjoying the beautiful view from the Acropolis.

El: "Αυτό το ταξίδι θα μείνει στη μνήμη μας," είπε ο Νίκος.
En: "This trip will stay in our memory," said Nikos.

El: "Η μαγεία των μύθων ζει ακόμα εδώ.
