Top Four Reasons People Are Quitting Their Jobs

In this episode of Becoming with Angelina Watkins, she talks about the Great Resignation. Starting in 2021, 4.4 million have resigned from their jobs. But why? Why are there so many people leaving their current employment?

People are leaving for various reasons, but the top reason most are leaving is for higher pay. Pew Research Center released the top reasons why people are leaving their jobs and most are not satisfied with their current income and they are looking for more financially. And that is no shocker that most are leaving for a bigger salary. A lot of reflection during the pandemic has given people time to develop themselves and truly realize their worth. So they are finding jobs that pay their worth or pursuing entrepreneurship.

Other reasons people leave include lack of opportunities for advancement, disrespect on the job, and child care issues. People are disgruntle, burnt out and stressed out over their jobs. They are tired of working hard and not getting the pay and respect they feel they deserve. So they are saying “deuces.” And they are making the decision to go for what they want and deserve.
