Elizabeth Loudenback, a 22-year-old factory worker, was tragically found dead on June 24, 1984, in an orange grove. She was fully clothed and had been both raped and strangled. It is important to note that Loudenback had no involvement in prostitution and was simply walking down Nebraska Avenue, near her home, when she was abducted by Long on the evening of June 8.
Forensic analysis revealed a significant connection between these murders. Both Simms and Loudenback had tiny red nylon fibers, likely from carpet, on their clothing, as well as a white scarf found under Lana Long.
Long's fifth victim, Vicky Elliott, was 21 years old and went missing on September 7, 1984, while returning home from her waitressing job at the Ramada Inn. Her body was not discovered until November 16, 1984, and she had also been strangled.
Chanel Williams, an 18-year-old sex worker, was discovered on October 7th. Unlike the previous victims, Williams stood out as the only black victim who had not been bound. Her cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound. Williams was found naked, with her clothes lying nearby. Upon examining her clothing, forensic tests revealed the presence of those distinct red fibers.
