On September 2nd, 2015, two young men who were hanging out at the upscale apartment complex, Gables Park 17 in the Uptown area of Dallas, Texas, heard a scream and a gunshot. Following the sounds, they made their way to the first floor of the parking garage, where they found a gruesome sight. A woman was lying in a pool of blood, with her car door wide open, a magazine clip lying beside her, and her purse stolen. The woman was Kendra Hatcher, 35, a well-respected pediatric dentist in the area, who had been excited to go on a trip to Cancun the next day for the Labor Day weekend, with her boyfriend, Ricky Paniagua, who was waiting for her upstairs. But who would have wanted this successful and innocent young woman dead? The answer to that led cops on a wild ride with many nefarious characters. But, as cops delved deeper, they realized that the real criminal behind the plot, the mastermind of the killing, was Brenda Delgado herself, Ricky Paniagua's ex-girlfriend. By the time they moved in on Brenda, though, she was long gone and had fled to Mexico.
