Brian pays tribute to two people that passed away this week. One an international movie and singing star, the other a Canadian legal and political star.
The first interview is with Jeanne Martini Beker on Olivia Newton-John. We all know who she was. Dame Olivia Newton-John (26 September 1948 – 8 August 2022) was a British-Australian singer, actress, and activist. She died of breast cancer after decades of fighting the disease. Although she lived in the United States for most of her adult life, she considered herself an Australian.
The second interview is with Douglas Elliott about Bill Graham. William Carvel Graham PC OC QC (March 17, 1939 – August 7, 2022) was a Canadian lawyer, academic and politician. Graham served as the minister of foreign affairs, minister of national defence, leader of the opposition and interim leader of the Liberal Party of Canada. After leaving politics, he was the chancellor of Trinity College at the University of Toronto.
