Her bylines have appeared at the Globe and Mail, Literary Hub, BBC and Toronto Star. We talk about both her novel about Leila, who like Mahsa Amini (the woman whose death at the hands of the morality police created an uproar) is Kurdish-Iranian and we discuss gender and ethnicity and their role in what we see on the streets of Iran today.
