LE sold "Bridge Guy" to the public as a guy walking towards his victims with his right hand in his pocket (potentially holding a gun) and a brown shirt tail poking out from underneath his jacket.

Turns out, BG wasn't wearing a brown anything and his right hand wasn't in his pocket. His right arm wasn't even in his jacket sleeve.

So why did LE deceive the public this way, while at the same time, pleading with them to help identify the man?
