We kick off 2001: A Horrotober Odyssey with a look at one of the forgotten slashers from pre-2001 that never even got a theatrical release: Cherry Falls. Starring Brittany Murphy, the film focuses on the town of Cherry Falls as it comes to terms with a serial killer in their midst. When it's determined that the killer only murders teenage virgins, insanity ensues that engulfs the town and leads to a finale that needs to be seen to be believed. It's a film that is part satire, part slasher, and utterly ridiculous. The One Season Show's Jess Byard joins Chris to talk about the film, Brittany Murphy's acting career, and why the film never got its due.
