When you think about consciousness your are focus on what is valuable, understanding what to ignore or what you want to be ignorant to is knowledgeable a distraction is anything that removes your focus for what is valuable so one must know when to be ignorant.

Tolerance, skepticism, and humility—these are useful attitudes as we approach the challenge of embracing ignorance, and then redeeming it for the benefit of our patients.
