In Malaysia, Article 4 clause 1 of the Federal Constitution clearly states that the Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Federation of Malaysia. Thus, the very principle of the Rule of Law is upheld by the said Malaysian Constitution.
Thus, in a progressive democratic society such as Malaysia, in which the supremacy of the Federal Constitution itself sanctions the efficacy of the Rule of Law, the illiterate and uneducated poor undoubtedly deserve the opportunities in attaining equal education standards as their fellow Malaysians, in order to lift them out of the poverty bracket and thus, reinforce the Rule of Law in Malaysia.
