Nb: I Bergen, det store oljebyen i Norge, skjedde noe veldig rart.
En: In Bergen, the large oil city in Norway, something very strange happened.

Nb: Two bestevenner, Lars og Ingrid, bodde i denne byen.
En: Two best friends, Lars and Ingrid, lived in this city.

Nb: De elsket å danse mer enn noe annet.
En: They loved to dance more than anything else.

Nb: På holmen der de bor, er det ofte dansefester.
En: On the islet where they live, there are often dance parties.

Nb: En dag hørte Lars om en isbjørn som ville lære seg norsk dans.
En: One day, Lars heard about a polar bear who wanted to learn Norwegian dance.

Nb: Han lo, men han fortalte det til Ingrid.
En: He laughed, but he told Ingrid.

Nb: "Nå tuller du," sa Ingrid.
En: "You're kidding," said Ingrid.

Nb: "Nei, det er sant," sa Lars.
En: "No, it's true," said Lars.

Nb: Tiden fløy av gårde.
En: Time flew by.

Nb: En dag, mens de danset, så de isbjørnen.
En: One day, while they were dancing, they saw the polar bear.

En: On two legs, he tried to dance!

En: Lars said, "We will teach you to dance!"

En: They started dancing together.

Nb: Men isbjørnen var for stor.
En: But the polar bear was too big.

Nb: Han falt og alle folk lo.
En: He fell and everyone laughed.

En: Ingrid said, "Don't laugh!

Nb: "Menneskene stoppet å le.
En: The people stopped laughing.

Nb: De så at isbjørnen prøvde, og det var vakkert.
En: They saw that the polar bear was trying, and it was beautiful.

En: The polar bear tried again.

Nb: Denne gangen, falt han ikke.
En: This time, he didn't fall.
