show moreHello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:
Today’s quote is from Zig Ziglar, and it is: A hundred friends are not enough, but one enemy is too much.
Friends And Enemies
Very few people have enough energy and time to invest in more than a few close friends. That being said, there is no real limit on the number of friendly acquaintances you may have over your lifetime. Fortunate is the person who surrounds themselves with others who will assist, support, and love them. Interestingly, most of us have many friends and acquaintances, but it only takes one person who does not like us to spoil our mindset. I see this situation magnified on social media sites. People may get a thousand likes or positive comments on something they publish, but if they receive one negative comment, they dwell on that one negative comment instead of the thousand positive ones. We all fall prey to this mindset, but let us break free of these shackles and focus on good things. With friends and many other situations in life, if we are not careful, we will allow our mindset to drift into a negative pattern. We need to be focused on good, strengthening our body, mind, and soul.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
