Deuteronomio 27: Estableciendo convicciones firmes en el hogar.

Deuteronomio 27:1‭-‬8 VRV-2015:
Moisés, con los ancianos de Israel, mandó al pueblo diciendo: “Guardarán todos los mandamientos que yo te mando hoy. 2 Y sucederá el día que crucen el Jordán hacia la tierra que les da el SEÑOR tu Dios, que se levantarán piedras grandes, las cuales recubrirán con cal. 3 Sobre ellas escribirán todas las palabras de esta ley, cuando hayas cruzado para entrar en la tierra que el SEÑOR tu Dios te da, tierra que fluye leche y miel, como te ha prometido el SEÑOR, Dios de tus padres. 4 Cuando hayan cruzado el Jordán, levantarán estas piedras en el monte Ebalp, como yo les mando hoy, y las recubrirán con cal. 5 Allí edificarán un altar al SEÑOR tu Dios, un altar de piedras. No alzarán sobre ellas herramientas de hierro. 6 Edificarán el altar del SEÑOR tu Dios de piedras sin labrar. Sobre él ofrecerás holocaustos al SEÑOR tu Dios, 7 y harás sacrificios de paz. Allí comerás y te regocijarás delante del SEÑOR tu Dios, 8 y escribirás en las piedras todas las palabras de esta ley, con toda claridad”.

En este capítulo vemos una lista de advertencias para no caer en maldición si se practican acciones de maldad. El Señor aquí estableció diferentes reglas para que los israelitas tuvieran cuidado en la forma en que se trataban entre ellos.
Ellos debían pronunciar 12 maldiciones que caerían sobre ellos si hacían ciertas cosas que atentaban contra el bienestar o la vida del prójimo.
Dios enviaría condenación si ellos caían en las prácticas desordenadas de promiscuidad, de impureza, en desviaciones.
También si maltrataban al prójimo, si hacían planes para hacerle daño o si abusaban al minusválido.
La maldición caería a aquel que sea tan avaro, que intente engañar a su vecino para obtener algún beneficio económico quitándole parte de su herencia. También vemos el repudio de Dios en contra de la idolatría. Está explícitamente prohibido elaborar ídolos y esconderlos para adorarlos en la privacidad.

Te recomiendo que leas el capítulo completo y mires las costumbres que Dios le prohibió a los judios practicar.
Todo el pueblo debía subir a una montaña y declarar estás maldiciones a fuerte voz para que todos, sin excepción, grandes y pequeños, judios y extranjeros, pudieran ser advertidos y no cayeran en maldición.

El detalle en el que quiero que reflexionemos es en el que ellos debían escribir esto en una roca cubierta de cal para que todos pudieran verla, esculpir en ella la ley de Dios y estas maldiciones en la piedra, para que todo aquel que entrara a la tierra prometida y se establezca allí las leyera al pasar por la entrada a la tierra que Dios les daba como bendición, y no sufriera maldición cayendo en prácticas maliciosas.
Así mismo, en nuestros hogares debemos levantar piedras simbólicas, debemos reunir los miembros de nuestro hogar y establecer reglas de conducta claras y específicas, mostrando los beneficios por ponerlas en práctica, y las consecuencias nefastas al no seguir el consejo y salirse de esos preceptos establecidos.
Estas piedras se establecen en reuniones familiares continuas. En esos momentos cuando sacamos tiempo para hablar con nuestros hijos. Y hasta elaborando cuadros con las acciones y principios que ustedes quieren poner en práctica en el hogar.
Enseñémosles a no abusar del prójimo, a no maltratarlos, engañarlos, hacer algo que intente destruir la reputación de alguien en un arranque de ira diciendo algo que no es correcto, no dejarse llevar por la altivez o el orgullo, a dejar que Dios sea el defensor y juez pero no buscar venganza, a respetar a los adultos, a escuchar a los padres, a prepararse para poder ganarse la vida honradamente.
A vivir vidas organizadas con disciplina y ser perseverantes en todo lo que hagan. Que estudien y trabajen con honestidad e integridad.
Enseñémosles la necesidad de honrar a Dios y tener una continúa conexión con Él en oración, y congregarnos continuamente, en servir a Dios con nuestros dones.
Y también cosas sencillas como saludar, sonreír, abrazar, perdonar, agradecer, etc.
En fin, cuántas cosas buenas podemos enseñarles pero que los hagan no por imposición ni obligación, sino porque han entendido que estas acciones les traerán bendiciones de Dios y podrán alcanzar el éxito en todas las áreas de su vida sin que les falte nada, pues la bendición de Dios estará sobre ellos porque Dios está con el recto, con el justo.

Deuteronomy 27: Establishing firm convictions in the home.

Deuteronomy 27:1-8:
Now Moses, with the elders of Israel, commanded the people, saying: “Keep all the commandments which I command you today. And it shall be, on the day when you cross over the Jordan to the land which the Lord your God is giving you, that you shall set up for yourselves large stones, and whitewash them with lime. You shall write on them all the words of this law, when you have crossed over, that you may enter the land which the Lord your God is giving you, ‘a land flowing with milk and honey,’ just as the Lord God of your fathers promised you. Therefore it shall be, when you have crossed over the Jordan, that on Mount Ebal you shall set up these stones, which I command you today, and you shall whitewash them with lime. And there you shall build an altar to the Lord your God, an altar of stones; you shall not use an iron tool on them. You shall build with whole stones the altar of the Lord your God, and offer burnt offerings on it to the Lord your God. You shall offer peace offerings, and shall eat there, and rejoice before the Lord your God. And you shall write very plainly on the stones all the words of this law.”

In this chapter we see a list of warnings so as not to fall into a curse if evil actions are practiced. The Lord here established different rules so that the Israelites would be careful in how they treated each other.
They had to pronounce 12 curses that would fall on them if they did certain things that threatened the welfare or life of others.
God would send condemnation if they fell into the disorderly practices of promiscuity, of impurity, of deviations.
Also if they mistreated others, if they made plans to harm them or if they abused the disabled person.
The curse would fall on the one who is so greedy, who tries to deceive his neighbor to obtain some economic benefit by taking away part of his inheritance. We also see God's rejection of idolatry. It is explicitly forbidden to make idols and hide them for private worship.

I recommend that you read the entire chapter and look at the customs that God forbade the Jews to practice.
All the people had to climb a mountain and declare these curses out loud so that everyone, without exception, big and small, Jews and foreigners, could be warned and not fall into the curse.

The detail that I want us to reflect on is that they had to write this on a rock covered in lime so that everyone could see it, carve God's law and these curses into the stone, so that everyone who entered the promised land and settles there read them when passing through the entrance to the land that God gave them as a blessing, and not suffer a curse by falling into malicious practices.
Likewise, in our homes we must raise symbolic stones, we must gather the members of our household and establish clear and specific rules of conduct, showing the benefits of putting them into practice, and the disastrous consequences of not following the advice and leaving those established precepts.
These stones are set at continuous family gatherings. In those moments when we take time to talk with our children. And even drawing up tables with the actions and principles that you want to put into practice at home.
Let us teach them not to abuse others, not to mistreat them, deceive them, do something that tries to destroy someone's reputation in a fit of anger by saying something that is not correct, not to be carried away by haughtiness or pride, to let God be the defender and judge but not to seek revenge, to respect adults, to listen to parents, to prepare to be able to earn an honest living.
To live organized lives with discipline and to persevere in everything they do. That they study and work with honesty and integrity.
Let's teach them the need to honor God and have a continuous connection with Him in prayer, and to gather together continuously, in serving God with our gifts.
And also simple things like saying hello, smiling, hugging, forgiving, thanking, etc.
In short, how many good things can we teach them but that they should do them not out of imposition or obligation, but because they have understood that these actions will bring them blessings from God and they will be able to achieve success in all areas of their lives without lacking anything, because God's blessing will be upon them because God is with the righteous, with the just.
