December 8: Integrity as praise to God.
Psalms 100:1-5:
Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.

Psalms 101:1-8:
I will sing of mercy and justice; to You, O Lord, I will sing praises. I will behave wisely in a perfect way. Oh, when will You come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know wickedness. Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him I will destroy; the one who has a haughty look and a proud heart, him I will not endure. My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in a perfect way, he shall serve me. He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house; he who tells lies shall not continue in my presence. Early I will destroy all the wicked of the land, that I may cut off all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.

Psalm 102:13-18:
You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, yes, the set time, has come. For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and show favor to her dust. So the nations shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth Your glory. For the Lord shall build up Zion; He shall appear in His glory. He shall regard the prayer of the destitute, and shall not despise their prayer. This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord.


These are 3 short psalms. I read the first two completely and the last one should be read later so you don't miss the full context.
On a curious note, Psalm 100 is the shortest chapter in the Bible. It is also one of the most beautiful because it is an invitation to worship God and recognize His sovereignty over all things, especially over our lives. This is a psalm where dependence on the Lord is recognized as a sheep depends on its shepherd. And it also invites us to enter the presence of God with the correct attitude, which is an attitude of gratitude. I encourage you to learn this psalm.

The next psalm, 101, is a covenant psalm. The psalmist made a commitment before God to live a life of integrity because he knew that only people who walk in integrity will be blessed by God and will be worthy to serve before His presence in ministry.
That is why the psalmist took care of what he spoke, what he thought, what he felt, and even what he saw; because the bad things are those that contaminate man and he wanted to be clean before God. That is why in these two verses in the God's Word Translation version we read the word integrity: “My eyes will be watching the faithful people in the land so that they may live with me. The person who lives with integrity will serve me.” And "I will live in my own home with integrity. I will not put anything wicked in front of my eyes. I hate what unfaithful people do. I want no part of it."
I hope you can also memorize these verses and that it is also the covenant that you make with the Lord for this new year that is coming: to live in integrity.

And finally, Psalm 102 is a psalm of the cry of someone for God to intercede and save his life, but not only his but that of everyone in general, to the life of the city of Zion, which represents all the people of Israel and Judah.
The psalmist was confident that the Lord would free them and give them a new opportunity to reestablish the city of God. To the point that he declared, by faith, that will arise a generation that will worship God in spirit and in truth, and not like their ancestors that they forgot the Lord and suffered the consequences for their sins.
The Lord came for His people and they rejected Him; and as we have already learned before, the Lord is going to come a second time and at that moment the whole world will see Jesus Christ and every tongue will confess that He is the King of kings and Lord r of the lords.

Consider this:
Are you completely dependent on the Lord?
Are you living in integrity?

Salmos 101 al 102
Salmos 100:1‭-‬5 RVA2015:
¡Canten alegres al SEÑOR, habitantes de toda la tierra! Sirvan al SEÑOR con alegría; vengan ante su presencia con regocijo. Reconozcan que el SEÑOR es Dios; él nos hizo, y no nosotros a nosotros mismos. Pueblo suyo somos y ovejas de su prado. Entren por sus puertas con acción de gracias, por sus atrios con alabanza. Denle gracias; bendigan su nombre porque el SEÑOR es bueno. Para siempre es su misericordia, y su fidelidad por todas las generaciones.

Salmos 101:1‭-‬8 RVA2015:
De la misericordia y el derecho cantaré; a ti cantaré salmos, oh SEÑOR. Daré atención al camino de la integridad. ¿Cuándo vendrás a mí? En integridad de corazón andaré en medio de mi casa. No pondré delante de mis ojos cosa indigna; aborrezco la obra de los que se desvían. Ella no se me pegará. El corazón perverso será apartado de mí; no reconoceré al malo. Al que solapadamente difama a su prójimo, a ese yo lo silenciaré; no soportaré al de ojos altaneros y de corazón arrogante. Mis ojos pondré en los fieles de la tierra para que habiten conmigo. El que anda en camino de integridad, ese me servirá. No habitará dentro de mi casa el que hace fraude; el que habla mentira no se afirmará delante de mis ojos. Por las mañanas cortaré de la tierra a todos los impíos para extirpar de la ciudad del SEÑOR a todos los que obran iniquidad.

Salmo 102:13-18 RVA2015:
Levántate, ten misericordia de Sion porque ha llegado el tiempo de tener compasión de ella. Tus siervos aman sus piedras, y de su polvo tienen compasión. Entonces las naciones temerán el nombre del SEÑOR y todos los reyes de la tierra temerán tu gloria. Por cuanto el SEÑOR habrá edificado a Sion, será visto en su gloria. Habrá considerado la oración de los despojados, y no habrá desechado el ruego de ellos. Sea escrito esto para la generación venidera, y un pueblo que será creado alabará al SEÑOR.


Estos son 3 salmos cortos. Los dos primeros los leí completos y el último debes leerlo después para que no te pierdas el contexto completo.
Como nota curiosa, el salmo 100 es el capítulo más corto de la Biblia. Además es uno de los más bonitos porque es una invitación a adorar a Dios y a reconocer su soberanía sobre todas las cosas, especialmente sobre nuestras vidas. Este es un salmo donde se reconoce la dependencia en el Señor como una oveja depende de su pastor. Y también nos invita a entrar a la presencia de Dios con la actitud correcta que es una actitud de gratitud. Te animo para que aprendas este salmo.

El siguiente salmo, el 101, es un salmo de pacto. El salmista hizo un compromiso delante de Dios para vivir una vida íntegra porque él sabía que solo las personas que andan en integridad serán bendecidas por Dios y serán dignas de servir delante de su presencia en el ministerio.
Es por eso que el salmista cuidó de lo que hablaba, de lo que pensaba, de lo que sentía y hasta de lo que veía; pues las cosas malas son las que contaminan al hombre y él quería estar limpio delante de Dios. Por eso en estos dos versos leemos la palabra integridad: “Mis ojos pondré en los fieles de la tierra para que habiten conmigo. El que anda en camino de integridad, ese me servirá." Y "En integridad de corazón andaré en medio de mi casa. No pondré delante de mis ojos cosa indigna; aborrezco la obra de los que se desvían."
Espero puedas también memorizar estos versos y que sea también el pacto que hagas con el Señor para este nuevo año que se aproxima: vivir en integridad.

Y por último, el salmo 102 es un salmo del clamor de alguien para que Dios interceda y salve su vida, pero no solo la de él sino la de todos en general, a la vida de la ciudad de Sión, que representa a todo el pueblo de Israel y Judá.
El salmista estaba confiado en que el Señor los liberaría y les daría una nueva oportunidad para restablecer la ciudad de Dios. Al punto de que él declaró, por fe, que se va a levantar una generación que adorará a Dios en espíritu y en verdad, y no como sus antepasados que se olvidaron del Señor y sufrieron las consecuencias por sus pecados.
El Señor vino por su pueblo y lo rechazaron; y como ya lo hemos aprendido antes, el Señor va a venir por segunda vez y en ese momento todo el mundo verá a Jesucristo y toda lengua confesará que Él es el Rey de los reyes y Señor de los señores.

Considera:
¿Estás dependiendo completamente del señor?
¿Estás viviendo en integridad?
