Is there a connection between grief and mediumship abilites starting or strengthening? Whitney is fascinated by this topic and the question why do some grievers receive signs and visitations when others don't? Today she gets to ask questions of someone who is studying deeper the connection between grief, healing and mediumship.
Dr. Lenore Matthew is a Doctor of Social Work with expertise in program evaluation and evidence-based practice. She is also a trained evidential psychic medium, as well as a young widow by suicide loss. Her gift of mediumship opened up in 2020, when her husband unexpectedly took his own life. Previously, she worked as a research and evaluation specialist with international humanitarian organizations, including the United Nations.
Today, Dr. Matthew blends her background in social work, research, and evaluation with her ability of psychic mediumship, to help others heal through trauma and grief. She does so through practical workshops to develop your own intuitive abilities and connection to loved ones in Spirit; mediumship demonstrations and group readings; and by conducting independent research on the impact of mediumship and other mind-body-spirit practices. Currently, she is conducting two research studies: one on the impact of mediumship readings on widows' mental, emotional, and spiritual health; and the other on sudden awakenings of people's psychic mediumship after the loss of a loved one.
Dr. Matthew publishes frequently on the topics of grief, trauma, mediumship, and other mind-body-spirit healing practices. Her articles have been published by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), The Mighty Mental Health Community, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), among others.
Dr. Matthew holds a Ph.D. and Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and has trained in mediumship with leading institutes, including Arthur Findlay College.
