For over 20 years he worked at hospitals in Marietta Ohio, Ashland and Morehead Ky, Duluth, Des Moines, Ft. Wayne, and Ethiopia. He trained at Harvard Medical School, obtained his medical degree from Seth G.S. Medical College in Mumbai India and Ph.D. in epidemiology and biostatistics from the University of Texas in Houston.
