Lagerstein are a relentless touring and drinking band with a healthy dose of Australian Pirate Metal thrown in for good measure.
With a recent album under their belt and a successful assault on the overseas market already this year, Lagerstein are once again taking to the road in their home country with a string of shows later this month.
"We've got a whole new fresh show!" enthused lead guitarist Nathan 'The Majestic Beast' Riedel. "In Brisbane and Melbourne, we're building a full pirate ship for the stage so that's gonna be something ridiculous. We'll also be playing the new songs which will be an absolute treat. We got to play some of them over in Europe and how they were received is ridiculously good. We're excited to bring it back to Australia".
As well as performing their own shows on a recent overseas tour, Lagerstein also played at some of the worlds finest metal festivals in Wacken and Sabaton, with Riedel saying their music was universally accepted by all of the crowds they played in front of.
"They loved it!" he exclaimed. "We played punk festivals, full black metal festivals, folk metal festivals and everywhere in between and it was the same reception every show with people dancing with smiles on their faces and drinking along to the music. Even playing shows where they couldn't speak much English we got a great reception every time, it was incredible".
In the full interview Nathan gives a deeper analysis of the tour, reveals the nature of the Battle Royale series of challenges with main support Triple Kill, their growth overseas, which country had the best drinking crowd, the benefits and curses of being in Lagerstein, their shows at Wacken and Sabaton, the best drinking story of the tour and more.
