show moreIn this episode we interview Steve Babson, author of “Forgotten Populists: When Farmers Turned Left to Save Democracy”. Now retired, Steve Babson worked as an instructor and extension program coordinator in the Labor Studies Center at Wayne State University.
He is the author of various books including “Working Detroit: The Making of a Union Town,” and “The Color of Law: Ernie Goodman and the Struggle for Labor and Civil Rights in Detroit.”
Babson is also an Executive Board member of AAUP-AFT Local 6075 which represents 1,700 full time faculty and academic staff at Wayne State University. He’s also a leader of Detroit Eviction Defense, an organization that fights foreclosures and evictions.
