Plus, we discuss Jeff Frye "former major leaguer" and his fascination with hitting "gurus" across the country.

Josh Cathcart is a graduate of Texas A&M with a bachelor’s degree in sports science and management. He began his coaching career at his alma mater, Brazoswood High School in TX. Coach Cathcart coached at Brazoswood for 10 years and was part of 2 regional finals, 2 regional semifinals, 2 regional quarterfinals, and in 2011 was the hitting and infield coach for the undefeated Texas 5A state championship team. Coach Cathcart is a student of the game; always on the lookout for new ideas to help young players reach their full potential. He has been a personal hitting instructor in the Houston area. Josh has numerous camps and clinics throughout the country.

Hitting Done Right – HDR focuses on the complexities of a swing. Whether you are starting out at a young age or looking to take your game to the next level, HDR can analyze your swing and provide constructive feedback. At HDR, the goal is very simple, help youth athletes improve their game. There isn’t some magic formula or potion to get you to the next level. It takes hard work and dedication to get there. Josh has developed his style for over 20 years and has a proven track record of helping athletes become better hitters through a strong work ethic.
