This week on  Sex & Violence with Rebel Girl, we talk to an  American mixed martial artist who began her career in 2006. “Filthy” Tonya  Evinger has competed against some of the best women in the sport, all over the world & is undeniably one of the OG pioneers & trailblazers!At Warriors Challenge 21 on June 3, 2006 she fought Jennifer Tate. That fight was the first women's bout ever sanctioned by the California State Athletic Commission. She’s competed for the Ultimate Fighting Championship, EliteXC, Raging Wolf & Invicta Fighting Championships & was the Invicta Bantamweight Champion.Born in Washington & raised in Odessa Missouri, she played football & wrestled while at Odessa High School in Missouri. She went on to wrestle & earn her degree at Missouri Valley College.She was a  3x national champion & senior national team member!
