Vermibus is one of he most original and underrated players in the game today. The spanish born, Berlin based artists, has been aggressively working in the streets for years across Europe and the US attacking public advertising and the fashion industry by fucking with their imagery and redirecting their message. Armed with a handful of homemade tools, some super toxic solvents, and a commitment to his beliefs, Vermibus hacks into advertising displays at bus stops and subway stations, helps himself to the contents inside, and then begins the work of dissolving the image and stylistically repainting it using only the ink provided in the poster itself. These 'remixed' adds are then replaced back into the streets where they live on as some strange hybrid creature containing elements of advertising, street art, and the grotesque all wrapped up in an elegant and beautifully painted fine art piece with a undercurrent of anarchy and vandalism.
