show moreLife turns you into someone you were not meant to be. A past filled with pain and trauma turned Angelina Watkins into someone who was angry, bitter, resentful, perfectionist, control freak and ultimately someone who has a problem with authority and being told what to do.
Her story of becoming started when she was four years old, and she was molested. She was forced in a couple of separate incidents to touch someone else. She would later experience other unwanted touching that would lead to insecurities and relationship issues.
She talks about how this has influenced how she raises her daughter. It made her overprotective, which has caused conflict with her daughter who is very sociable and just wants to go out and be with friends.
Parents are encouraged to seek therapy for their children when they have been violated. Children need psychological help to process what has happened to them. If you don’t get them the help they need now, it will negatively impact them as adults.
You are invited to share your story with Angelina Watkins and be featured on a future episode where she will share your story.
