Welcome to the Waypoints Intermission: a Rest Stop along your Waypoints journey.
Admittedly, I bit off a little more than I could chew for Part 3 in the series—deciding to group parts of the South, West, and Midwest together into a single episode. Such a large swath of land requires extra time, but the episode will be something well worth the wait, as I can assure, I’ve found some of the most fantastic places yet! I’m very excited to share them with you, but mustn’t rush; as anything worth having is worth waiting for, just as anything worth doing is worth doing right.
I felt that a break in the current routine of listening to the Waypoints Series would be a nice respite. You’re probably wondering why I’m taking the time to break away from what I should be doing, just to make this episode—but the truth is, what you’re about to hear is a pre-recording from an older work.
It was a practice in mixed media, inspired by the pictures I had taken of Idle Hour while on a brief visit to Long Island many years ago. Originally intended to be a podcast-friendly YouTube video, I challenged myself to poetically tell the story of my experience at Idle Hour, on Long Island, NY.
Join me every other Friday at 9:30PM EST for another episode from The Traveler's Station.
