Amber Lilyestrom was challenging to type because she has the 9’s gift for embodying the full spectrum of Enneagram types.
Even as a child, she was good at tuning into the energy and emotions of the people around her. But because Amber is also a high achiever, she was mistyped.
The truth is, Amber is motivated by a need to create harmony in the world. And she has done enough inner work to connect fully with the other eight types—and do so with a posture of elegance and grace.
This ability to communicate well and care deeply serves Amber well in her work as a transformational brand strategist and business mentor working to help entrepreneurs monetize their dreams.
On this episode of The Leadership Formula, Amber shares how her sensitivity showed up early on, and we explore how the trauma of childhood sexual abuse changed the expression of Amber’s type.
I explain what differentiates a social subtype like Amber from other Enneagram 9s, describing how her drive to achieve comes from a need for certainty (not significance) and how she leans into her growth number 3 when something really matters to her.
Listen in for insight on why Amber falls into self-doubt when she’s under stress and learn how she is finding peace for herself as she steps fully into her role as an Enneagram 9, the Adaptive Peacemaker.
