Are men and women equal in terms of how they see themselves in society? If so why are more marriages failing and less women getting married the more they earn in relation to men? Men are hierarchy sensitive because of their need to compete for mates. Women are the ultimate decision makers in nature and in today's society so are less hierarchy sensitive. Yet females if they earn more than their mate will tend to underestimate their earnings and males if they earn less to over estimate. This is due to their subconscious transference. This is our emotional response to a person or situation based to exposure to previous people or situations in the past. In evolutionary terms it helped us survive by immediately responding to potentially dangerous situations. In any professional relationship the client will have their transference with the professional. The latter however is duty bound to remain objective, impartial and professional. They need to be aware of the clients transference and the response that tbmhus engenders in them : the counter transference. This is morally neutral. What matters is how they respond to it. Unless they handle it professionally then they can do untold damage to the professional relationship with the client and is especially salient in patient/therapist interactions.
