For once, the Genesis is right, all egyptian lands belonged to Pharaoh, and either farmers had to pay a part of their crops to Pharaoh in exchange of working it, or priests and nobles owned it and had servants who worked it for them ^^

Selling your livestock is a problem way bigger than just missing milk and eggs, basically all of ancient economies relies on animal strength, you use cows to work the fields, horses to transport everything, donkeys too, etc... It would be like demanding all electric machines to a farmer in exchange for food, as you said yeah it saves them that year, but the next year they're not going to be able to farm much ^^'

"When they saw Josef is dead" in ancient Hebrew is ment to just say "after he died". If it showed up like "and they saw that the kingdom has fallen and said..." that would mean that whatever they said, they said right as the news of the kingdom falling reached them

It says that after she was burried, Rachel's head rolled it's way to the Machpela and ended up besides Jacob and Lea

Fun fact: it's crucial that you pronounce Onan with an a like apple and apartment since Onen is the Hebrew word for the three letters verb that starts with f, ends with p, and is definitely not appropriate for a 13 y.o

As for the "he said, he said, he said", usually when they don't use names they switch around, like, p1, p2, p1, p2,... But I don't know if that's a rule
