Jo Brand thought it was OK to say she would rather throw battery acid than milkshakes over right wing politicians under the guise of comedy and free speach. However we are all responsible how we come across regardless of intent. Part of that is considering whether you are a role model of influence in society. Secondly comedy allows us to discuss difficult issues more openly by using humour. Not to conjure up even worse scenarios. Comedy is a serious influencer. Just like there is a crime of reckless driving there should be a crime of reckless incitement of violence to allow for lack of intent. Let alone the fact it was not even funny in our opinion.
