show moreToday pitchers and catchers reported to Spring Training and the Honchos reported to duty right alongside them. The showgram started with a Valentine's Day recap and Rob bitching and moaning about Twitter.
The sports portion began with two social justice stories from the college world involving Bluefield College and Valparaiso University. This was followed by a trip around the rink with a high spirited conversation on the future of Rangers coach David Quinn and the Washington Caps free fall in February.
Next up the Honchos went to the hardwood of the NBA to discuss James Harden's apology to the Houston Rockets, Draymond Green's displeasure with yet another NBA double standard, and what Anthony Davis's injury means for the Lakers and the NBA. The Honchos then took swings at Trevor Bauer, Justin Turner, Andrew Benintendi, and the new minor leagues set up in the MLB. At the end of the baseball segment they even broke the news about the new contract for Padres SS Fernando Tatis, Jr. (Spoiler alert - it was a lot of money!)
The NFL recap was short, but sweet, with a look at the QB carousel this off-season and the Texans release of DE JJ Watt.
Before transitioning to soccer talk, the Honchos had two Olympic-themed stories - the resignation of the President of the Tokyo Olympic Committee and a "Breaking Bad" - style story about former Olympian Scott Miller. The Honchos even squeezed in a look at the Daytona 500!
The circus came to a close as it always does with the Dope of the Week, and the winner tonight was Lorraine Grohs.
