William Darrell Lindsey (Wild Bill or Red Bird) was born into a world of chaos that possibly shaped him into the monster he would become. Loosing his parents at only 5 months old, William would be adopted by a twisted woman who would make his childhood a nightmare. Despite this, William would go on to raise a family of his own and would live what seemed like a “normal” life.
In 1953 at the age of 48, William would start feeding into his urge to murder, begining in Florida in an area called Crackhead Corner. It would not be until 1996 at the age of 61, that William would be caught for the murder of Lucy Raymer in Ashville, N.C. He would confess to 6 other gruesome crimes with what seemed like no remorse. His final known victim count is 7 but is suspected of a lot more than that.
