Shanghai Street Market is one of the oldest markets in Hong Kong, since Shanghai Street was once a prominent and prosperous artery of the city. You can see a lot of old-style Chinese shops here, and they form an interesting contrast with the modern booths.Here you can find an interesting combination of wedding gowns along with kitchenware, all embedded in a historical setting.Even if you are not planning on shopping for bridal-wear, the traditional Chinese wedding gowns are indisputably of interest. They are often hand-sewn and the embroidery is terrific, so please take your time looking through them. Basically, it is like going to an ethnography museum.
