When you are passionate about something, you tend to put more effort into whatever it may be, and unfortunately for Peter Lucas Moses Jr, he was passionate about control, having multiple wives, and only being referred to as 'Lord'.
Living in a one bedroom home with 3-5 wives and 9 children, the household was cramped and busy which can make the environment tense. Antoinetta McKoy would reconnect with her high school sweetheart, which happened to be Peter, and she started taking trips from Washington DC to Durham, NC to spend time with him.
She didn't know that one last visit to DC to collect her belongings would be the very last time her family would see her alive.
