We speak about the body, the yoga body, the dance body and body awareness, and also about the notion of gender being a social construct, but also that our bodies are as real as they can be, gender is a real thing. Sam shared their experiences growing up in the world of dance, being given more masculine based roles, or sometimes even roles Sam feels they didn’t deserve just because Sam was perceived as a “man”. Plus we discuss their own work, the future of stage and performance in New York City and the age of zoom……
