It is the fiftieth episode of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast!

In honor of this occasion, I wanted to invite two of my dearest friends onto the podcast: Elyse Johnson and Ashley Rushford. Our paths crossed when the three of us worked at Claire Entertainment’s Enstars and Tech Times. Our friendship began when we bonded for passion for pop culture and daytime television. We jokingly fought over who would cover either The View or Wendy Williams whenever there was a hot topic guest on the episode.

While we left the organizations in 2018, our friendship has gotten stronger thanks to meals and coffee visits. Also, we did make a pilgrimage to Wendy Williams and had the time of our lives in the studio audience. Currently, Elyse works as a correspondent for Gossip Cop and has published two different poetry books: Fearless and Limitless. Meanwhile, Ashley Rushford is a contributing writer to Essence. In addition, she also runs her own beauty, fashion, and lifestyle blog: Sostylash.

In this milestone edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Elyse and Ashley talk about the evolving state of daytime television, how they got inspired to enter the media world, and their respective projects.
